Submitting Your Idea for the Poster or Sharathon Sessions
As you can see from the conference agenda, there will be three possible venues for you to share your innovations with your colleagues. On Saturday, there will be a "Shortform" and a "Longform" sharathon, as well as a Poster Session. Here's how they work:
The Shortform Sharathon: This will consist of three, thirty-minute panels, each consisting of three 10-minute presentations by individuals. Each 30-minute panel is followed by a small group discussion. This format is ideal to share an idea easily summarized in 10 minutes, that will benefit from a discussion among the entire BLC community.
The Longform Sharathon: This will consist of multiple 30-minute sessions, delivered in small groups of 8 - 10 instructors. Participants will be able to choose from four longform-presentations, from a roster, to attend. This format is ideal for an innovation that requires hands-on practice or intense, small group discussion.
The Poster Session: There will be an A and a B track in the two-hour poster session. Each poster presenter will be required to staff their poster for one hour, freeing them up to visit the other posters in their "off" hour. All posters will be hung for the entire meeting. This format is ideal for an innovation that is best explained on a poster and would benefit from ongoing conversation between interested individuals.
If you would like to participate in any of these sessions, please submit a short abstract that describes your idea. You will indicate which format (shortform, longform, or poster) you think best fits your idea. All abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings.
Please use this electronic form to submit your abstract. Abstracts for Sharathon sessions must be received by February 10, abstracts for the poster session must be received by March 6, 2010.
